Any realistic audit of the UK would demonstrate the obvious irrationality of remain ideology. The UK is a nation of 65 million people; the 6th biggest economy in the world; the second largest economy in the EU; the second largest contributor to the EU; a nuclear power; one of only five permanent members of the UN Security Council; a member of the G7 and G20; a nation whose native language is the world language; the second-biggest exporter of services in the world; the hub of a Commonwealth that includes 53 countries on all continents; and a country whose capital city is the world’s most important financial centre with a political and cultural reach across the globe that not even France can match.
On top of that we are World leaders in orbital satellite technology; a considerable portion of the equipment in the latest Mars lander was made in Britain; Mercedes Benz pay us to build their multiple World Championship winning Silver Arrow Formula One cars, as do more than half the rest of the F1 teams; the two most prestigious luxury car marques – although German owned – are built in Great Britain and around 15% of the World’s most advanced strike aircraft – the VSTOL bit – is built in the UK.
With Brexit, the EU will lose its financial centre; its second-largest economy and the second-biggest net contributor to its budget.
